THE FALSE TEACHING THAT HELL IS NOT ETERNAL TORMENT

The false teaching that Hell is not eternal torment

(This heresy is found in the following cults - Jehovah's Witnesses - Mormonism - Seventh-day Adventists - christadelphians and also false teacher Billy Graham)

What does the bible say?

The doctrine of death and hell were not fully revealed in the Old Testament; these were brought to light with the coming of Christ (2 Timothy. 1:10).

Matthew 13:42 - Jesus says:
"And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Matthew 25:41 - Jesus says:
Depart from me, ye cursed, into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels

Matthew 25:46 - Jesus says:
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment

Matthew 26:24 - Jesus says:
The son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the son of man is betrayed: IT HAD BEEN GOOD FOR THAT MAN IF HE HAD NOT BEEN BORN.

Question: why would it have been better for Judas not to have been born?

Answer: Because he will suffer eternal damnation in the fire and torment of hell.

Mark 9:43-49 - Jesus says:
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
For every one shall be salted with fire,

Mark 9:42 - Jesus says:
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Question: Why did Jesus says this?

Answer: because Jesus warns about the consequence of hell fire as we saw above in the following verses.

Isaiah 66:22-24
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Psalm 9:17
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Isaiah 33:14
The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
